a new day

Today's set up for good - hopefully it will hold.  I'm on my way to give blood.  I've already done my exercise today.  It was shorter than usual due to time constraints.  Although I should say, exercising in shorts definitely makes for motivation!  Seeing all those dimples where you shouldn't have them makes me want to work harder.  Lunch was good - garden blend fettuccine with Olive Garden dressing and a glass of water.  Light and satisfying.  Yes, hopefully it'll stay good :D

  1. Stick with it… eventually the work outs will pay off. I’ve read all your post, but decided to only respond with this comment.

The best way I’ve found to avoid writers block, is write fast, and never look back to edit, critic, or reread anything. If you really want to finish a manuscript, this advice should help you reach that goal.

It helps to stay focused on one story, and let the joy and excitement carry you through to the end.

Once I start my character begin to live and dictate the story to me, all I do is write down what happens to the best of my ability. I might write a 98k word novel in three months, and spend the next six revising that work into something decent.

Have a plan on where the story is going, you don’t need an outline, but an idea in your head will carry you through the hard parts.

If you get stuck, skip a chapter, or even, skip clear till the ending and start writing it. I found writing the ending ahead of time helps carry the story in a direction I want. Even thou, I’ll have to rewrite the ending once I get there; it really does help focus the story, and keeps my eye on the prize (which is finishing your manuscript).

The best way I found in overcoming writer block, is to keep writing, even if you delete it later, at least you moving forward… and the only way to finish, is to keep going.

I hope you find your way...

  2. thanks :D
I don't work on them all at the same time, but when one isn't speaking to me and another is, I switch over. Most of them are still in outline form, where I came up with the idea and had to write it down before I forgot.
